"And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all and followed him" (Luke5:11)
Peter recorded miracles in his fishing business through the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. Peter never expected such commodious miracle. He was a wise man who knew that the money realized from the sale of fishes from one miracle would be spent totally. He forsook all and followed the source and giver of miracles.
Are you following Jesus Christ the giver of miracles or are you following man? Peter chose to serve and be a disciple of Jesus Christ, he did not rationalize like men do. He saw beyond his physical eyes and the application of his spiritual vision led him to a better choice for generational and perpetual upliftment. None of us had seen Peter but today, we read about his impact in the church from the inspirational and ageless pages of the Bible.
What choices are your children making today? Who are their friends? Who are your friends? Commonsense is not common. You don't have to be an intellectual gaint to be wise. God gives wisdom and understanding. Peter had understanding. He knew that by following Jesus Christ and understanding his ways and acts, he would perform miralces himself. Peter became a miracle worker whom the Lord used to heal the lame man at the beautiful gate in Acts3:1-9. Peter became a bulldozer in evangelism and multitudes were drawn into the kingdom of God whenever he preached.
In Acts 2:41, 3000 souls were converted to the Lord Jesus Christ, when he preached again, 5000 were converted to Christianity. Even his shadow healed the sick.(Act5:15). Are you satisfied with miracles? Many believers have left the master and are following fishes. The money you cannot invest in the house of God will be exhausted one day therefore give to the Lord who is the giver of miracles. You can be a miracle worker like peter.
Prayer:
Dear Father, may I choose and follow you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
