THE VIRTUE OF ENDURANCE


"Behold we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the Patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very pitiful.(James 5:11)

Patience is one virtue that has long been deleted from the memory of many people including believers.
Men and women are impatient at home with their husbands, children, workers, brothers, sisters, drivers and pastors etc. They are impatient with everyone. They cannot endure any adverse conditions, whatever they need must be instantly provided. We are in the age of "instants". Instant indomie, instant coffee, instant starch and so on and so forth. They are even impatient and angry with the Almighty God if He wastes time in answering their prayers. Some even pack their Bibles and turn to a negative lifestyle if God does not answer their prayers. They think they can boss God around.

Are you such a person? Are you impatient? Only those who wait upon God shall renew their strength. Understand that some prayer answers may be automatic, some may require a process. Some healings require a process of progression.

If you do not take your time to wait, you will spoil your miracle God is incubating for you. Are you spoiling your miracles as a result of impatience? Many are so impatient that when provoked, they can say anything. Please count ten before you speak if not, you may speak regrettable words. I cannot imagine someone who cannot be impatient with a Governor being the end of the service.

Some are running away from putting their seed upon the altar. God will reward you according to what you sow. Growth from God is gradual. Why must you walk out of God's presence, what if He walks out of you in your time of need? The way you regard God is the way He will treat you, He will also make you His number one if you make Him your number one. Why are you always complaining? Be patient. Talking too much leads to anointing leakage: pray more, be patient and God will answer you.

                                                       PRAYER
Father help me develop the virtue of patience in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
