But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness and faithfulness(Galatians 5:22)
Do you realize how important it is to be kind? Kindness is more important than work, money, career, success.
Proverbs 19:22 says What is desirable in a man is kindness. Do some random acts of kindness always to brethren. Pray first and ask God to direct you to people you will help. Pay for someone's food today. Give out bottles of cold water to people working under the scorching rays of the sun.
If you are financially blessed, pay school fees and rent for the needy. Also instruct them to show kindness by the way you speak and act.
How did you speak to that sister? Are you only polite just to those who give you money? That is sheer hypocrisy. You are pretending to be good in order to get money. How do you speak to older people in the church and where you live? Do you know good words can lead to recommendation for a wonderful marriage? Many are having problems of settling down today partly as a result of irritability, acidic and poisonous words that proceed from their mouth. Why not determine to change today?
Your change may not lie in prophecy but in changing the way you speak. God will surely help you change. Acts of kindness inspires us. It could be defending an employee in the office or saving someone attacked by bullies, offering free medical care to indigent widows and their children.
The recipients of acts of kindness are very grateful. Even if they are not sincerely grateful, God will reward you. The one person who comes to my mind when I think of kindness is Jesus Christ. He showed us that God is kind. And because He is so kind to us, we are to show kindness to one another. In a busy world where so many seem to be looking for number one, acts of kindness are always welcomed!
PRAYER
Father, may kindness be activated in my life, to put smiles on the faces of brethren in agony in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
